The proof is in my fanny pack
I sent a letter to the attorney general today, requesting further information on this ridiculous ban, hopefully someone gets back to me. We were at the dog park again today and I was have a conversation with this older insightful women. She suggested I get paper work from my vet and I could provide some proof of Mosies breed for those who thought he was a pit bull. I thought it was a good idea at the time, make a bunch of photocopies and pass them out to random strangers but then I started thinking...fuck that! I know what kind of dog he is, why should I have to prove others wrong. Well maybe it would be kinda fun to show them how dumb they really are.

Some People
I should have known, I really should have. When you have breed like a bullie, dane, mastiff or rottie people are bound to comment. Well it happen to us today! We were at our usual hangout...Bruce's Pit and some ignorant lady says to me "you know those dogs are banned in Ontario." I say "actually their not, you must be thinking of pit bulls." She say "yes and so are these dogs". I say "no I got him from a registered CKC breeder in Ontario". She says " I don't care where you got him, he needs to be leashed and muzzled." At that point I had to walk away, she's uneducated and misinformed, clearly a waste of my time. When I got home I did a little research of my own, just in case this situation occurred again I could have my facts straight.
Is my dog a pit bull?
Have a look for yourself...bullies are A-ok!!!!

On a happy note, we spent the day over at Fai's place where my dad and some other family members got to play with little Mosie (yeah, that's his new nickname)

Don't Leave The Light On
It's always the way...I am constantly forget my camera. Yesterday Eden, Moses and I went to the dog park and because of all the rain it was a total mud filled mess. The two of them where in heaven, but of course I didn't bring the camera! Blerg. After the playing I loaded the kids into the family car which is a little Toyota Echo, I soon began to evaluate the car...it's not big enough! I would love to get a wagon so we could put Moses in the back. I love him dearly but he has done some damage to the emergency brake, cup holders and glove box...those puppy teeth are killing me! Not to mention he is constantly trying to sit in my lap while I'm driving. Eden will start to yell from the back seat, "no, fair why does he get sit on your lap but not me?" " Nothing is fair in life my love but it's the law" I say in retort. As soon as we walk in the door it's bath time, Eden first then Moses. Moses isn't much of a fan of the tub, thankfully I had my helper, Eden got right into the bath with him. He smells much better now! After a soak in the tub, I put on The Power Puff Girls movie and enjoyed the rest of our evening.

Up a notch
The other day we set off for a little walk around the neighborhood, when my partner notice Moses collar. It's too tight...then it dawned on us, our little man is growing! We adjusted the collar to fit him appropriately, only by half an inch but hey we were excited.
Unfortunately Moses does not like his leash and he tends to just stay completely still when we put it on him. With much encouragement and treats we say "walkies" but he just lays down. Something we really need to work on. Most of the time we take him to off leash parks like the Arboretum or Bruce Pit but he'll have to learn before it starts to snow, otherwise were in trouble.

Good Boy
We've been told that Moses is still too young for puppy classes so I've been taking it upon myself to get the ball rolling. Moses is now sitting on command, we're very proud of him. I ask him to sit before giving him his meals, when we're at the dog park and around the house. At 11 weeks, I think it's pretty brilliant. His potty train is also coming along quite nicely, last night was the first night he didn't have a accident! Hurray Moses

What's your favorite colour?
The other day the family was in the backyard colouring are patio stones with sidewalk chalk. Moses just had to join in. He started rolling around on the stones covering himself with an array of colours.
I have to say my daughter is starting to take a sincere liking to our Moses... she still wont touch him in the house but when we're out she always has to be the one to walk him.
Not sure if this has ever happen to you...so your at the pet store and see this very expensive chew toy, design specifically by vet's for teething puppies. You buy it take it home to puppy and he snubs it. You think ok, better luck next time, go to a different store buy another pricey toy take it home and again, puppy isn't interested.
Evidence
After many expensive attempts to find Moses the perfect chew toy, we are finally successfully
An old sock, dipped in water then put into the freezer for a few hours. Priceless!

Down by the River
Today we took a very relaxing walk down to the river. I wasn't sure if Moses would be into swimming or not. He hesitantly took his time as we approached the water, my daughter jumped right in and I followed her. Before we knew it Moses was right behind us. I think it kinda freaked him out...as soon as the water got deeper he turned right around heading back to shore.
I have to admit I was super nervous that Moses might drown...I don't think Bullies are know for there swimming abilities? He was amazing, we'll definitely go back!
